Tad Everhardt built his house 12 years ago, but after learning of the German Passive House technology standards, he decided to retrofit his house to cut his energy comsumption to meet those standards.
The Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions is producing a periodic podcast of topics related to passive house technology. The episode shows examples in Ohio, Oregon, Germany and Minnesota. Many of the leaders in the passive house movement are interviewed.
This home was designed by architect Rachel Wagner to meet the German House Passive energy standard which reduces energy consumption by 90%.
